Frans Hals was a Dutch Painter. There is also a phrase written in German below his name. The lid and hinge are pewter. The crystal handle is cut in a notched pattern. The stein is very heavy at 3.5 lbs. It is 6.5" tall to the top of the pewter thumb tab or 6" to the top of the pewter lid. It is 3" wide at the rim and 4" wide at the widest part.

It is in "mint" condition. There are 3 felt tabs on the bottom as this was used only for display. This is a quality stein and would be a great gift for a beer stein collector.
