A friend of mine gave this to me since I brew beer. This is a nice piece of history, from the 48th Infantry Dragoons. This mug belonged to Lt. Sirota (name across the top), and on the side is a list of all CO's that were there I assume during his time serving. The 48th Infantry insignia as well as the Dragoons Coat of Arms are painted across the front of this mug.

On the side opposite the CO names is the Spearhead insignia, signifying the 3rd Armored Division. Inside the mug is a small memorial (obituary I think) of Jack "Jake" Sirota, the owner of the mug. He was born in 1943 and passed in 2003. This is a very cool piece of military history, one that I hope is treasured. Please look closely at all pictures to see exactly what you are getting. The names on the mug (to the best of my ability to read them, sorry if I spell something incorrect). S-1 1 Lt Charles R. S-3 1 Lt Willard D. S-4 1 Lt David A Newberg.
