First in a mini series of three similar steins (mold numbers 2007, 2008, and 2009) that have Josef von Scheffel's poem, The Trumpeter of Sackingen, as their running theme. This one features Hiddigeigei the cat, a main character in the story, on the face art, and The Baron, on the inlay lid. 6.25" tall and 4 3/8" diameter at the base. This one was produced in 1896.

Features fancy, flame like thumblift correct for this stein. Inscription is from the poem, It rings furiously in the ears, Hiddigeigei's warnings of ghosts.
