Royal Bavarian 8th Infantry Regiment leaded by Grand Duke Friedrich II. The 8th Infantry Regiment "Grand Duke Friedrich II of Baden" was a regiment of the Bavarian Army. At the beginning of World War I the regiment mobilised on August 2, 1914 and was deployed on the western front.
During the fights at Arras the II. Battalions were worn out on April 9, 1917 and reassembled on April 25, 1917 by replacement crews. The jug is in used condition.Unfortunately under the "R" there is an approx. 8 cm long hairline crack - lip edge.
