Antique WWI German Stoneware 1L Beer Stein Rupprecht of Bavaria Army Iron Cross. Hand painted raised Imperial lettering. German Army Group A operated on the Western Front under the command of Rupprecht, Crown Prince of Bavaria. It was created out of the 1st and 2nd armies after the battle of the Somme. A "1L" marked one-liter example. Estate acquired from the estate of a retired Colonel in the Texas Air National Guard. In Very Good Antique Condition - A few small chips at lip - A couple of white paint spots - a small hairline crack from handle top to lip - Only general wear otherwise - No repairs. Dimensions: 7"H with a 4" Diameter at the Base.
