Great rare piece of WWI history. Everything about this antique German stein says class. Made by the famous potter- Albert Jacob Thewalt.
Inside of lid in fine letters is W. The five ringed Pewter lid is engraved, dated, finely detailed with the Iron Cross, and has the German Eagle thumblift. The handpainted scene depicts a French landscape of the area with hills, French buildings, and a stream.On the edge of the blue bottom rim looks to be some letters.
