Antique 1/2L Mettlach 2382 German Beer Stein. This stein is called the Thirsty Rider and has an inlay castle turret lid. Schlitt and the thumblift is a man blowing a horn. It is about 9 1/2 high and the bottom has a castle abby mark, 2382, Geschutzt, II 25 and 98 (the Villeroy and Boch date code for 1898).

It has a scuffed area to the dog (see the photos) and it is otherwise excellent with No Cracks, No Chips, No Repairs and B EST OF ALL NO RESERVE.
