Antique Gerz Face Character German Beer Stein. 5 L, 1226, Rare, Great Condition! Whimsical and early German character beer stein in amazing condition. A man with ruddy cheeks and nose looks down, or is possibly dozing off. Early Gerz impressed mark, possibly pre 1893 (no country stamp).

Great condition, no chips, cracks or stains and pewter top fits and doesn't wobble. A few minor scratches to glaze see photos. 1/2 Liter capacity, the stein without lid measures about 5 high and the height of the thumb piece is about 6 inches. These stein were in the possession of one family since the 1940's that we know of. The granddaughter of the original owner is now older and downsizing so we acquired 3 different designs in the same series. You will receive the one in the photos, design 1226.
