Simplistic and elegant form design. Designed by Paul Wynand in 1908 this stein is made of stoneware and glazed with "Koelnisch braun" glaze - a very special glaze technique used exclusively by R. The pewter lid is a special Merkelbach lid - there were two special types of lids and thumblifts used with brown-glazed Jugendstil stoneware.

The stein is marked with R. Merkelbach Grenzhausen mark used until 1916 and 2350 model number. The stein is 5 tall to the top of the thumblift, 0.5L capacity.
