Antique German Bohemian Glass Beer Stein Hand Blown with Enameled Floral Motifs c. A classical German glass beer stein from the period of the late 1700s.
Blown crystal glass, with applied thick handle scrolled. Wide pedestal with a large pontil mark and a pewter foot ring. Ball-shaped thumblift and large five-ring open type hinge - all typical for the late-1700s period. Hand-painted and decorated with colorful enameled floral decorations. The lid is marked with pewterer's hallmarks of the 1700s period but I don't have the reference material to identify them. Nice very typical beer drinking vessel over 200 years old! 9 tall to the top of the thumblift, about 1 L capacity. Auctiva offers Free Image Hosting and Editing.
