Vintage Occupational German Beer Stein Butcher Shop/Slaughterhouse. Looks like it was never used. May need a cleaning as it was on display somewhere in Germany and I leave things as I find them.
Otherwise no chips or any defects. The words translate to Long Live the Butcher! Subject matter is brutal to say the least. A guy winding up with a sledgehammer to hit a cow in the head.Another bleeds out a pig. All scenes you would come upon which are natural if you work processing meat. Back then there were a lot of butchers. Not for me but a great piece. The previous owners grandfather died 20 years ago at 95 years of age after immigrating here from Germany. No maker marks on the bottom. Came with a World War One Aviation Stein and a hunting one. Will pack carefully and insure for full value.
