Hohlwein Tankard German Beer Stein Glass Large Figural Cat Lid Mettlach Era

  
We have a rare Hohlwein glass stein that was made in the early 1900s. It is marked 1/2L and is 6 tall. The glass has a shape to the body which is an octagon. The lid is made from pewter and follows the shape of the body very nicely. The detail on the pewter work really looks sharp. There are two small glass blemished on the edges. I think that this is a very unusual stein and makes a wonderful addition to any advanced collectors collection.
