The stein is made of porcelain in form of a sculptural portrait of Otto von Bismark (1815 - 1898) - the most famous German political figure, the Iron Chancelor. The original stein that portraits Bismark was made by Schierholz in 1880 - 1900s. In mid-1980s the Schierholz factory began the production of earlier characters stein using the same molds that were kept in the factory.They made about 30 copies of the old steins and finished this production around 1995. The copies were made so well, they are almost identical with the originals. This full color nicely painted Bismark Head stein is the best they produced.
Marked with "Masterschutz" and crossed swords - the old Schierholz mark. Excellent condition with 7.5 tall, 0.5L capacity.
