Antique Pre-prohibition Grey Stoneware German Beer Stein Blue Island IL. Saloon
You are viewing an antique German blue & grey stoneware beer stein. This tavern mug is likely a Compliments of piece from the Charles Haas Saloon, that was located in Blue Island ILL. Opening in 1895, and operating up into the later pre-prohibition period. This excellent Stein is adorned with a festive, invitation to dance, saloon scene and reads, Chas.
A rare German Stein for it includes a rabbit inside the mug. Measures 8-3/4 high W/lid, on a 3-3/4base, and tapers up to approximately 2-3/4 wide at the mouth. Used, but condition of this over 100 year old Stein is excellent, bold imagery , great color, solid , no cracks, no chips.
