This beautiful antique German faience beer stein is from the 1700s and has lovely hand-painted decorations. It has a wonderful pewter lid with a large hollow ball for the thumblift and has it's original pewter base. It is fair antique condition for it's age and has 3 hairline cracks on the top of the stein and 3 areas of wear to base where the pewter base rubbed the stein (see photo 12 as an example).
The pewter base also has a hole. It measures about 10" tall with the thumblift and is about 5 1/2" wide with the pewter base. This beautiful stein is in relatively good condition for a beer stein that is over 200 years old.
