Antique German/Bohemian Glass Beer Stein Stone Ruby Red Flashed and Cut Teplitz Spa c. Description: This very interesting stein was made around the mid-1800s - in 1860s-early 1870s. It is made of blown crystal glass flashed with deep ruby-red color. It was then stone-cut to make vertical facets at the bottom and copper-wheel engraved to create beautiful floral decoration around the central frieze. This type of glass beer steins was very common in the 1870s. The steins of this kind came mostly from Bohemia. Five rings closed type hinge.

The lid is pewter with a red-flashed glass inlay and small thumblift typical for the mid-1800s. The stein is in excellent condition, no chips, cracks or repairs. There is some very minor age-related wear to the red. It is a full-size pint stein, 6.5 tall to the top of the thumblift, 0.5L capacity.
