Antique Early German/Bohemian Glass Beer Stein - Wheel Engraved Floral dated 1825. Description: This beautiful and very old beer stein was made of blown glass in about 1810 - 1820s. It has hand-blown body with wide pedestal, attached ribbon-type handle and pewter mounts.The stein is decorated with copper wheel floral decorative engravings of good quality. Nice pewter lid in perfect condition with beautiful and unusual thumblift and large 5-ring closed type hinge. The lid is typical for the period of the late 1700s - 1820s. It is engraved with the initials F. The stein also has pontil mark on the bottom and a pewter foot ring.
The stein has a short tension line on the side - see pics. Otherwise, excellent condition The pewter is in perfect shape and the lid is sitting tight.
I guarantee my description and dating. The stein is large and impressive, it is 9 tall to the top of the thumblift, 1L capacity. Condition: Short tension line on the side, otherwise excellent.
